Navigate User Training Sessions

We are delivering daily 30-45 minute online training sessions to all Navigate users from the 24th of August to the 30th of September.

There are 4 sessions focussing on:
(1) The Skill Assessment
(2) Activities
(3) Targets
(4) Placements

We recommend all staff that will be using Navigate next academic to attend the training sessions relevant to their role. Please see details of the training and booking form below.

The Skills Assessment

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Add and complete an assessment as a student 

2) Monitor whether your students have completed their assessments 

3) View a student's initial and distance traveled assessment results 

4) Use the Cohort Initial Skill Assessment Report to identify skill gaps

5) Use the Cohort Distance Traveled skill Assessment Report to evidence your student's skills development.

Activities

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Understand the 'My Timeline' module on the student site.

2) Add an activity as a student

3) Add an activity against a student/groups of students from the staff site

4) Advertise upcoming activities to groups of students through Navigate

5) Use the Cohort Activity Report

Targets

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Understand the 'Targets' module on the staff site 

2) Understand the 'My Targets' module on the student site

3) Set targets against students/groups of students 

4) Understand how students add evidence against their targets and submit them for approval 

5) Sign off student submitted targets

Placements

By attending this session, you will learn how to:

1) Understand the 'Placements' module on the staff site

2) Understand the 'Placements' module on the student site

3) Understand the tasks that need to be completed by the student, staff, and employer, to move a placement from start to finish

4) Create, manage, and edit placements from the staff site

5) Submit details of a self-found placement as a student

6) Monitor student placement attendance and placement journal entry completion

7) Understand the automatic email communication with employers

8) Understand the Cohort Work Placement Report
