Navigate User Training Sessions

Navigate User Training Sessions

We are delivering free daily 30 minute online training sessions to all Navigate users. These sessions are designed to give you a refresher of the Navigate platform.

There are 4 sessions focusing on:
(1) Skills Assessment
(2) Activities
(3) Placements
(4) Targets

We recommend all staff that use Navigate to attend the training sessions relevant to their role. Please see details of the training and register to a timeslot below.

Assessments

Tuesday 25th Jan,

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Add and complete an assessment as a student 

2) Monitor whether your students have completed their assessments 

3) View a student's initial and distance traveled assessment results 

4) Use the Cohort Initial Skill Assessment Report to identify skill gaps

5) Use the Cohort Distance Traveled skill Assessment Report to evidence your student's skills development.

1) Understand the 'My Timeline' module on the student site

2) Record and enrichment / employer-engagement activity as a student

3) Record and enrichment / employer-engagement
activity against a group of students

4) View all enrichment / employer-engagement activities your students have added

5) Understand the Cohort Activity Report.

Placements

By attending this session, you will learn how to:

1) Understand the 'Placements' module on the staff site and student site

2) Understand the tasks that need to be completed by the student, staff, and employer, to move a placement from start to finish

3) Create and edit placements for students

4) Request placements from students

5) Submit details of a self-found placement as a student

6) Monitor placement attendance and placement journal entry completion

7) Understand the automatic email communication with employers

 

Targets

By attending this session, you will learn how to:
 
1) Set personal development, academic, placement, careers etc. targets for a student / groups of students 

2) Track the students progress towards their targets

3) Complete targets as a student and submit it back to staff to sign off


4) Sign off / reject targets
